A Message of Love
We are an Ummah
The Ummah of Prophet Muhamamd Saw and disagreement(Ikhtilafat)
By Moulana Mukhtar
Bismillahir Rahmanir raheem
“You are the best ummah singled out for mankind: you enjoin what is right (ma’roof), forbid what is wrong (munkar), and believe in Allah.” Surah Al-Imran Ayah 110
My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Islam. Allah Swt could have created us at any time in history and as part of any nation. Yet He out of his infinite mercy created us as part of the best and most honoured nation ever to inhabit the earth. We are also the last and final ummah until the Day of Judgment. The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم said, “You are the final of seventy nations, you are the best and most honoured among them to Allah.” Our ummah has been given blessings that no other ummah before us has been given But Sadly Where is the Ummah of Prophet Muhammad Saw today? Sadly None is ready to say themselves as an Ummah of Prophet Muhammad Saw But we made our identification as a salafi, Hanafi, Hambali, Shafai, Maliki, Deobandi, Barelvi, Jamaati and Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat etc. My Dear brothers and Sisters If we have full faith in the Book of Allah (Quran) Then why we do not accept its Order and why do we not hug the Quran,s Ayah instead of other things. Allah swt is our creator and he really knows best his creatures. He never called us with these titles as we are known by them today. Some times he called us Believers(Muminoon). As He Said in Surah Baqarah Verse 153 O Believers, help yourselves (in your affairs) through patience and prayer; God is with those who have patience. He called us Some time Ummah in Surah Al-Imran Ayah 104
And let there be [arising] from you a nation inviting to [all that is] good, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong, and those will be the successful. And After This Ayah Allah Swt warned us in next Ayah to be not divided. In Surah Al-Imran Ayah 105 Allah said, And do not be like the ones who became divided and differed after the clear proofs had come to them. And those will have a great punishment.
Allah Swt indicated for Muslims brotherhood and solidarity in Surah Hujurat Ayah 10 & 12,
The believers are but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers. And fear Allah that you may receive mercy.
O you who have believed, avoid much [negative] assumption. Indeed, some assumption is sin. And do not spy or backbite each other. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his brother when dead? You would detest it. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is Accepting of repentance and Merciful.
And Allah swt called hid Nabi As a Rehmat-Mercy, We have sent you (O Muhammad ) not but as a mercy for the Alameen (mankind, jinns and all that exists)” [al-Anbiya’ 21:107]
While our beloved Nabi Saw was the Rehmah-Mercy for all mankind So then How can This Ummah go differ from his Prophet..
Prophet Musa once became extremely upset with his brother Harun , who was also a Prophet. He grabbed him by his hair and pulled his beard. Musa held Harun responsible for allowing the Bani-Isra’il to follow the ‘Samiri’ and go back to worshipping the idols, during his absence. Harun sadly replied: “O son of my mother, do not seize me by my beard or my head. Truly, I feared but you should say that I caused a division among the Bani-Isra’il and did not respect my word.“ (20:94)
This verse shows that Harun was more concerned with the unity of the Bani-Isra’il, than he was with their worshipping the golden calf. He was waiting for his brother to come back and calmly resolve this problem, thereby avoiding dissension.
Disagreements and differences between people are natural. All of us are different in one way or another. We come from different backgrounds and upbringings, we speak different languages, we belong to different ethnic backgrounds, and have variegated levels of education. We may therefore have different perceptions, opinions, and approaches. Allah, subhanahu wa ta`ala, says: “If Allah had so willed, He would have made you a single community, but (His plan is) to test you in what He has given you; so strive as in a race in all virtues. The return of you all is to Allah; it is He that will show you the truth of the matters in which you dispute.” (5:48)
From this ayah we see that being different is by Allah’s design. Differences among people cannot be and will not be eliminated. Therefore, we have to make our differences and disagreements work to the advantage of the Ummah? Can we prevent dissension and enmity by learning how to disagree? To differ and disagree is only natural, But the way we differ, is a matter of attitude and discipline.
Quran Also States on Muslim Unity,
1.And hold fast, all together, by the rope which God (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves; and remember with gratitude God’s favor on you; for ye were enemies and He joined your hearts in love, so that by His Grace, ye became brethren;andye were on the brink of the pit of Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus doth God make His Signs clear to you: That ye may be guided(The Glorious Quran 3:103)
2.Obey Allah and His Messenger (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and do not quarrel among yourselves lest you lose heart and your momentum disappear. And be steadfast. Allah is with the steadfast.(8:46)
3.As for those who divide their religion and break up into sects, thou hast no part in them in the least: their affair is with God: He will in the end tell them the truth of all that they did.(6:159)
Prophet Muhammad saw States on Muslim Unity,
1.Whoever prays like us and faces our Qibla and eats our slaughtered animals is a Muslim and is under Allah’sand His Apostle’s protection. So do not betray Allah by betraying those who are in His protection.Volume 1, Book 8, Number 386: (Sahih Bukhari)Narrated Anas bin Malik:
2. Nu’man b. Bashir reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The similitude of believers in regard to mutual love, affection, fellow-feeling is that of one body; when any limb of it aches, the whole body aches, because of sleeplessness andfever
3. Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle said, “Beware of suspicion, for suspicion is the worst of false tales. and do not look for the others’ faults, and do not do spying on one another, and do not practice Najsh, and do not be jealous of one another and do not hate one another, and do not desert (stop talking to) one another. And O, Allah’s worshipers! Be brothers!”
The Poison of Groupism-Firqa Parasti
A Real Story....
It was 2010 when I was travelling to Saharanpur by Train. A Non Muslim was near by my seat and after some time he introduced himself as Sagar Sharma. He asked me that Moulvi SB Are you going to Deoband. And suddenly asked me that Moulvi Sb Which Muslim you are? I was very shocked to hear this question That a Non Muslim was asking me this type of question. Then he purified his question and asked me that you are Deobamdi or Barelvi. Oh Allah ..... I said him that How did you know about that and How much do you know about Islam. Then he told me that he belongs to a Village in Aligarh,UP. His Village has equal population of Muslims and Non Muslims and There are four Mosque in his village. He told me that One of Mosque became a battle field before few days between Deobandi and Barelvees.. Since then I knew that Islam has two branches and asked you Moulvi Sb that Which Group of Islam you belong, Then he told me that He was so inspired by purity of Islam and wanted to come to Islam but could not understand Which Islam is right? It has been 5 years of this incident but I could not delete this incident from my brain. All Muslims should think even They are Leader, Scholar and Ulama that how did we represent Islam to others and How did a Muslim-Ummati of Prophet Muhamamd saw become a hurdle between Islam and Non Muslims. My question is for all Muslims Did Allah swt send this Ummah for this groupism and hatred. Never brothers He sent his Nabi and Nabi,s Ummah as Rehmah to whole world. Now I hope that every Muslim will understand about the Poison of Groupism-Firqa Parasti Which is growing up among Muslims like Cancer.
Shair E Islam Allama Iqbal really lay out the muslim,s conditions in his poetry...
Manfa’at Aik Hai Is Qaum Ki, Nuqsan Bhi Aik
Ek Hi Sab Ka Nabi (S.A.W), Din Bhi, Iman Bhi Aik Your nation’s weal, your nation’s woe, In common you all share, Your Prophet (PBUH) and your creed the same, the same Truth you declare;
Harm-e-Paak Bhi, Allah Bhi, Quran Bhi Aik,
Kuch Bari Baat Thi Hote Jo Musalmaan Bhi Aik! And one your Kaʹba, One your God, and one your great Quran; Yet, still, divided each from each, Lives every Mussalman.
Firqa Bandi Hai Kahin, Aur Kahin Zaatain Hain
Kya Zamane Mein Panapne Ki Yehi Baatain Hain? You split yourselves in countless sects, In classes high and low; Think you the world its gifts will still on such as you bestow?
Qalb Mein Souz Nahin, Rooh Mein Ehsas Nahin
Kuch Bhi Paigham-e-Muhammad (S.A.W.) Ka Tumhain Paas Nahin Your hearts are now of longing void, Your souls now know no zeal, You heed no more that message great which Ahmad (PBUH) did reveal.
Waaiz-e-Qoum Ki Woh Pukhta Khayali Na Rahi
Barq Taba’ee Na Rahi, Shaola Maqali Na Rahi That judgment ripe is no more theirs who play your preachers’ role, Nor kindling accents from their lips, reveal the flaming soul.
Yun To Syed Bhi Ho, Mirza Bhi Ho, Afghan Bhi Ho
Tum Sabhi Kuch Ho, Batao To Musalman Bhi Ho! You are known as Syed, and Mughal, you call yourselves Pathan; But can you truly claim as well the name of Mussalman?
Woh Zamane Mein Mu’azzaz The Musalman Ho Kar
Aur Tum Khawar Huwe Taarik-e-Quran Ho Kar The honoured of their times, they lived, For theirs was true iman, You live disgraced, as having left the paths of Al‐Quran.
Tum Ho Apas Mein Ghazabnak, Woh Apas Mein Raheem
Tum Khatakaar-o-Khatabeen, Woh Khata Posh-o-Kareem You roll the eye of mutual wrath, Their eye was ever kind; You err, for errors look, while they were generously blind.
Chahte Sub Hain Ke Hon Auj-e-Surayya Pe Muqeem,
Pehle Waisa Koi Paida Tau Kare Qalb-e-Salim! Aspiring for the Pleiades, How simple it all seems! But let there first be hearts like theirs, To justify such dreams.
Ki Muhammed (S.A.W.) Se Wafa Tu Ne Tau Hum Tere Hain
Yeh Jahan Cheez Hai Kya, Loh-o-Qalam Tere Hain To my Muhammad be but true, And you have conquered me; The world is nothing you will command My Pen of Destiny
Allah swt Said:
